Fairy Story

some of these lyrics may be wrong...

In the far off land of King Ferdinand,
there lived a fearsome dragon.
And the king he was in great distress,
at his country's spirits laggin'.

But then one day there came a knight;
he was handsome, young and charming.
He slew the dragon with his sword,
and a smile that was so disarming.

-With a Hey and a Ho and a Hey-Nonny-No,
and a smile that was so disarming.

Said the King, "I'd like to know your name."
Said the knight, "Sir do not bother."
"Yea, verily, one knight," said he,
"is the same as any other."

The king then said "In my daughter's bed,
tonight you'll take your leisure,
and be rewarded for your deed
with a night of exalted pleasure."

(oo!)

-With a Hey and a Ho and a Hey Nonny No,
and a night of exalted pleasure.

One daughter's hair was raven black,
her manner fair and chaste,
and she slept all night in the pale moonlight,
naked to the waist.

The other daughter was so fair,
the fairest in the town,
and she slept all night in the pale moonlight,
naked from her small waist down.

-With a Hey and a Ho and a Hey Nonny No,
naked from her small waist down.

Now the knight he spent a many an hour
inside the castle walls.
but the ending to our story is
not what it seems at all!

For in neither bed of either maid
was he repaid for his glory--
for he slept all night with the king instead,
cause this is a fairy story.

--With a Hey and a Ho and a Hey Nonny No,
'cause this is a fairy story-oh.
